Frondi privacy policy
Last updated:
Your plants and their photos stay on your iPhone. Frondi has no accounts, no servers of its own, no analytics and no ads, and Pocobit never sees your data.
What Frondi uses and why
- Camera. Frondi uses the camera to recognize your plants, check their health and measure the light in a spot. All of this is processed on your iPhone: photos are not sent to any server.
- Photos you choose. If you pick a photo from your library, Frondi only receives that photo. It has no access to the rest of your library.
- Approximate location. To adapt watering to the weather, Frondi asks Apple Weather for your city’s forecast using your approximate location. Apple handles those requests under the Apple Privacy Policy.
- Apple Intelligence. On compatible iPhones, the health check uses Apple’s on-device models. The photo never leaves your iPhone.
- Notifications. Frondi sends local notifications from your iPhone when a plant needs water. No server is involved.
- See photos. If you tap “See photos” on a suggestion, Frondi opens a Google image search for the plant’s name in Apple’s in-app browser. Frondi can’t see what you do there; Google handles it under its Privacy Policy. It needs an internet connection.
Where your data is stored
Your plants, their photos, your care records and your settings are stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is turned on for Frondi, they are also stored in your private iCloud account so you can use them on your other devices. That data is protected by Apple and Pocobit cannot access it.
If you share your home
If you invite someone to your home in Frondi, they will see the home’s plants, their photos and who watered them, through iCloud. You choose who to invite and you can stop sharing at any time in the Home tab.
What we don’t do
- We don’t collect, sell or share your data. Pocobit receives none of it unless you write to us.
- We don’t track you across apps or websites, and Frondi contains no advertising or analytics code.
- Frondi doesn’t require an account.
If you write to us
When you write to frondi@pocobit.app or privacy@pocobit.app, we receive your email address and what you tell us. We use it only to reply, keep it only as long as needed to help you, and delete it when you ask.
How long data is kept and how to delete it
Your data is kept until you delete it. You can delete any plant in the app, and deleting Frondi erases everything stored on your iPhone. Your iCloud data is deleted in Settings, then your name, then iCloud. You can remove access to the camera, location or notifications at any time in the Settings app.
Children
Frondi is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly process children’s data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above.
Controller
Frondi is developed and sold by Gabriel Alvarez (Pocobit), Caracas, Venezuela, who is responsible for this policy. To ask about your data, or to have us correct or delete what you sent us, write to privacy@pocobit.app.
